Message from the President & CEO

I am Hidenori Hayashi, your new President and CEO as of 1st April this year.

Our company was founded in 1986 as ITOCHU Plastic Systems Inc., by spinning off plastics products business from ITOCHU Corporation and in 2002, it merged with ITOCHU Polymers Inc. and changed its company name to the current ITOCHU Plastics Inc.(CIPS) It has continuously grown to be one of core companies in ITOCHU group.

We have four business segments - packaging materials, electronic materials, plastics resins and products and industrial materials and is supplying reliable materials and products in diverse fields from food containers and packages to cosmetics, household products, materials for smartphones, TVs, motor vehicle and infrastructure and is working with the aim of improving both convenience and comfort in everyone’s lives and continuously grows alongside people while always maintaining an honest and impartial stance.

Responding to technological revolution such as 5G in the communications field, driverless cars and electric vehicles in the mobility field, and, further, the movement ahead for a carbon neutral/decarbonized society, we will continuously contribute to society by supplying advanced materials and services by using our strong sales force and close relationship with our customers and ITOCHU Group’s global network.
