From infrastructure construction to environment/safety measures and space design
CIPS contributes to build a safe, secure, and comfortable social infrastructure through development and supply of a wide variety of industrial materials. Industrial materials can be broadly divided into five business fields. First is the civil engineering field, which is the foundation of social infrastructure. We promote the development and supply of diverse products concerning the environment such as steel protection materials that increase the strength of railway and highway bridge girders; "rubber fittings" that connect long sewer pipes and prevents pipes from being damaged by earthquakes and diastrophism; plastic materials to prevent landslides; "fenders" of piers to protect the hull of large ships that come into contact; "caulking material" to fill the gaps between glass panes and window frames; "rain water storage tanks" that are attracting attention as a countermeasure for heavy rain showers; and "acrylic windows" attached to storm surge barriers as a countermeasure for tsunamis. Second is the building materials field. We handle various products including plastic plates and pipes, glass products, light control films, adhesives, and paints used for interior finish work in offices and houses. In addition, CIPS have Design, Construction, and Management Divisions that produce total space designs for offices, shops, and commercial facilities in order to create comfortable living and business scenes. Third is the plates division. Our products demonstrate internationally high competitiveness and include semiconductor/liquid crystal manufacturing devices and "flame retardant polyvinylchloride plates (FM plates)" used for wall materials to protect the interior of buildings from spreading of fire in case of fire outbreak.
Focusing on development and introduction of products that support the evolution of convenience stores
Fourth is the supply of products that support furniture, fixtures, and logistics of convenience stores/commercial facilities. From the design stage through to manufacturing, CIPS has consistently coordinated LED signboards of stores that reduce energy consumption by 80% compared to conventional fluorescent-lit signboards, and a wide variety of product display shelves and fixtures in stores. We also handle folding containers and palettes to transport boxed lunches, ready-made foods, and beverages. For containers and palettes, we place a focus not only on the pursuit of logistics efficiency and ease of use, but also on temperature management logistics, and are also concentrating on the development and introduction of products that contribute to maintain the freshness of products by installing new cold storage functions. Finally, as the fifth pillar, CIPS established the group company "CIPS Advance Co., Ltd." in 2010. We respond to the needs of customers by providing plastic products for convenience stores and commercial facilities by focusing on sales of plastic boards and materials. CIPS continues to support people and society through the development and supply of a wide variety of industrial materials based on the theme of high quality, high function, and the environment-friendly, thereby contributing to the creation of a prosperous future.
