Embracing the once-in-a-century period of change as an opportunity
Firstly, we would like to thank you for your continued support.
Our company was founded in 1986 as ITOCHU Plastic Systems Inc., which dealt in synthetic resin products, and later merged with ITOCHU Polymers Inc. in 2002 and changed its company name to the current ITOCHU Plastics Inc. Since then, we have continued to grow as one of the core companies of the ITOCHU Chemicals Group.。
Through our three business segments of packaging materials, electronic materials, and Synthetic Resins and Industrial Materials, we aim to enhance convenience and comfort in people’s lives by providing reliable materials in a variety of sectors ranging from everyday food containers to cosmetics, sundries, smartphones, televisions, automobiles, and infrastructure, and will continue to grow as a company together with our customers, while always maintaining a sincere and fair attitude.
The current environment surrounding our company is in the midst of a period of great change that is said to occur only once every 100 years. As efforts to develop advanced technologies such as electric vehicles (EVs), automated driving, and next-generation semiconductors, and to achieve a carbon-neutral, decarbonized society accelerate, we see this period of great change as an opportunity, and have formulated three management policies to realize them in our current medium-term management plan.
- (1) Reform of profit structure by accumulating quality assets
- (2) Sustainability management and expansion of the environmental materials business
- (3) Promotion of next-generation technology businesses such as EVs and next-generation semiconductors
We will strive to make a continuous contribution to society by meeting people’s needs and providing more advanced materials and services by applying the above new management policy and our customer-oriented sales force and the global network of the ITOCHU Group, which we have been known for throughout our long history.
We look forward to your continued support and patronage.
